Good morning,
Bradbury gives us a good life goal: try not to become Mildred!
Your homework for tonight:
Option one: Bradbury uses a lot of poetic allusion throughout the story Fahrenheit 451 . For example, "He lay far across the room from her on a winter island separated by an empty sea." (39)
Bradbury was painting a textual picture of loneliness and isolation. (Montag wasn't really on a winter island!)
Use your imagination to create your own allusion for loneliness and isolation.
Option two: Mildred is so plugged in, that she has completely tuned out. Draw a picture of Mildred and include the many ways she is "plugged" in.
See you tomorrow,
