Hello young scholars,

Your friendly reminder for Tuesday:  you can't control other people.  You can only control yourself.  Be kind and firm with yourself as you seek more and more self control. 

Your homework for tonight:

Option one:  Captain Beatty pointed out several reasons for book burning, including anti-intellectualism.  Write a letter to Captain Beatty about why books are essential.  (Remember our conversation in class about everybody being exactly the same)

Option two:  Summarize Captain Beatty's speech about the history of book burning. What were some of his key points?
