Good morning,

Thank you for coming out and trying so hard on a gloomy Monday.  We only have a week and a half left of precious time before we start our new book, so please try to make class a priority.

Your homework for tonight:

Option one:
1. Why does Miss Maudie say that Scout is being morbid?
2.  Describe the game that Scout, Jem and Dill were playing.
3.  How does Atticus react when he finds out about their game?

Option two:
In a well-developed paragraph, answer the following question.  "I'm going to tell you something and tell you one time: stop tormenting that man" (65).  What does this statement show about Atticus's belief in the Golden Rule?
