HW

Good morning,

Scantron in full effect!

Your homework for tonight:

Option one:

Does she (Sanaz) think how vulnerable (weak) the …Guards are
1. Who is vulnerable (weak)?

who for …years have patrolled the streets of Tehran and have to endure (put up with) women …
2. How long have they patrolled the streets?

women …walking, talking, showing a strand of hair just to remind them that they have not converted (changed their  ways)? …
3. What do women do? Why do they do it?

Option two:

Does she (Sanaz) think how vulnerable the Revolutionary Guards are who for over 18 years have patrolled the streets of Tehran and have to endure women like herself, and those of other generations, walking, talking, showing a strand of hair just to remind them that they have not converted? …
These girls, my girls, had both a real history and a fabricated one. Although they came from different backgrounds, the regime that ruled them had tried to make their personal identities and histories irrelevant.

In your own words, what have the guards endured for years?

What does the word "converted" mean? Give an example.

Why do you think the girls are being defiant? Give an example.

PARENTS/ GUARDIANS: If you have any questions or comments please feel free to comment on the bottom of this page. I will reply as soon as possible. I look forward to your comments.
See you tomorrow
Ms. Betsy
