You guys did an awesome job today, even though your teacher was under the weather.

Your homework for tonight:

Option one:

1. What is a flashback?

2. "When I was younger, I used to eat pies filled with mud" Is this an example of a flashback or foreshadowing?

Option two:
In a well-developed response, answer the following question. What is the purpose of using flashbacks in a story? Use direct evidence and examples from the text.
