HW

Good morning,

A special "shout out" to Rusey - who was transferred today and came on time, prepared and ready to work.  Great job, Rusey!

Another "shout out" to Hector.  Hector, you're doing a wonderful job. Keep up the awesome work.

Being on time shows that you respect your own time and the time of others.  Let's try to be more responsible as a group.  (This is for YOUR future benefit. The more you practice something (like being on time) the better you become).

Your homework for tonight:

Option one:  If you missed the last two days, please read chapters 1-4 of the An Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian and answer the following questions:  (Option one is your ONLY option if you have missed class)

1. Who is Oscar?
2.  What does chicken represent to Junior?
3. Describe Rowdy
4. Describe Junior's friendship with Rowdy
5. Describe Mr. P
6. Describe how Junior feels about school.
7.  Why does Junior get bullied?

Option two:
Junior says " I'm a zero on the rez.  And if you subtract zero from zero, you still have zero." (pg 16)  Based on what you know of Junior and what we learned about culture and adolescence, explain 3 possible reasons Junior feels this way.  Make sure to include culture and direct evidence from the text in your answer.  ( At least 5 sentences)

PARENTS/ GUARDIANS: If you have any
questions or comments please feel free to
comment on the bottom of this page. I will
reply as soon as possible. I look forward to your
comments.
